Post-Retirement Benefits

Emergency Travel Assistance
The Emergency Travel Assistance plan covers 100% (up to $1,500,000 per trip) of eligible expenses resulting from an accident or a sudden unexpected illness incurred while travelling outside your province of residence or outside Canada.

Many aspects of the benefits are provided through a group insurance contract with the insurance provider and your full benefits and rights are governed by the terms of the Group Master Contract with the insurance provider, the Pension Plan for Administrative Staff and your contract with Western University through your agreement with the CUPE 2361 Facilities Management. In the event of a discrepancy between this summary and the official plan documents, the official plan documents will prevail.
